The Wizard of Oz

Baum.L.F. - Nama Orang;

This story tells of the adventures of a young farmer girl named Dorothy in the magical Land of Oz after she and her pet dog, Toto, are swept from their home in Kansas by a typhoon. [nb 1] This book is one of the most famous stories in American literature and has been widely translated. The Library of Congress has declared it "America's biggest and most beloved homegrown fairy tale." His immense success, and the Broadway musical adapted from the novel led Baum to write thirteen additional Oz books which serve as the official sequels to the first story.

In January 1901, the George M. Hill Company finished printing the first edition, 10,000 copies, which quickly sold out. It had sold three million copies by the time it entered the public domain in 1956.
